It is a verb - well amongst theatre geeks it is. There are always going to be some irritating fangirls at stage doors, particularly if that stage door is Wicked's but on the whole most actors seem to be happy to chat and the ones I've spoken to have been really gracious and just lovely, but I'm a theatre dork so they've normally been really obscure theatre peeps not the big names.
